Weather brings halt to 2008 Tournament of Champions but Vijarro has great day 
For the third year, COJGA experienced Thunderstorms and was ubable to complead play in several divisions. However, The Boys 16 and older division completed play before the storm came and Andrew Vijarro shot the best nine holes in COJGA's 16 year history, as he blistered the front 9 at The Woodlands of Sunriver with a six under par 30. He actually missed three short birdie putts on the outward nine. He cooled off slightly on the back and finished one shot off the course record with a 7 under par 65. For complete results click here

Rawls, Coduti Most Improved
Emily Rawls and Paul Coduti won the awards for most improved golfers at the 2008 Annual Banquet. Coduti, who averaged 112 strokes per round in 2007, shot 80 at Widgi Creek this season and dropped his average to 86. Rawls who finished second in the most inproved catagory in 2006 and 2007, dropped 21 shots off her '07 average when she shot 86 at Black butte in 2008.

What Division Are You In?
TO CLEAR UP SOME CONFUSION ... IF YOU'RE 12 OR OLDER AND PLAY 18 HOLES OR ARE IN THE 9-11 DIVISIONS AND PLAY THE "FORWARD TEES", CIRCLE ADVANCED. IF YOU'RE 12 OR OLDER AND PLAY ONLY 9 HOLES, CIRCLE NOVICE. 9-11 SHORT COURSE PLAYERS SHOULD CIRCLE SHORT COURSE.
 
JoBeth Hamon wins COJGA College Scholarship
JoBeth Hamon of Prineville was announced as the winner of the 2008 COJGA college scholarship Sunday evening at the annual banquet. Although not present, because she is already at TCU, her impressive resume was read at the event. Congratulations JoBeth. Any Current or former COJGA member who is a high school graduate may apply for the 2009 scholarship. If you are interested in applying please let us know.
Application should be been returned by August 1, 2009
