The entry forms and volunteer forms for Series II (July)  are now available. CLICK HERE to print the Series II forms and return them by Friday, July 3rd. Aspen Lakes will be a limited field because of the late start. Get your entries in early.  

COJGA Members Advance, Vijarro Wins 2009 Oregon Amateur Championship
Current COJGA members Chelsey Lind and Lindsay Reeve advanced to the match play competition in The Oregon Amateur Championships at Bandon Dunes. 2008 COJGA stars, Andrew Vijarro, Casey King and Corey Schmidt, along with 2004 COJGA Champion, Andrew Fitch, made the Men's field. King and Vijarro won their opening round matches and advanced to the round of 16. Both Won there round of sixteen matches which put them head to head in the quarter finals. Vijarro defeated King 3 & 2 to advance to the semi-finals. Vijarro won his semi-final match to reach the finals. Then in his 36 hole match Saturday beat Chris Polski to become the 2009 Oregon Amateur Champion. Vijarro won the 2008 COJGA championship.

What Division Are You In?
TO CLEAR UP SOME CONFUSION ... IF YOU'RE 12 OR OLDER AND PLAY 18 HOLES OR ARE IN THE 9-11 DIVISIONS AND PLAY THE "FORWARD TEES", CIRCLE ADVANCED. IF YOU'RE 12 OR OLDER AND PLAY ONLY 9 HOLES, CIRCLE NOVICE. 9-11 SHORT COURSE PLAYERS SHOULD CIRCLE SHORT COURSE.

Information about the 2009 COJGA season is now available and posted.   If you wish to register,  place your curser on  the "Membership" tab above and click on "application form 2009". Also, check the "Calendar" tab and "Tournament & Events" tab for  dates of qualifiers and tournaments.

Congratulation Matthew, Tyler on Hole-in-one
We're learned that Matthew Schwab, age 10, had a hole-in-one on the 6th hole at Awbry Glen this week. Also, Playing in Carson City, NV, 16 year old, Tyler Robson had his first ace.

2009 Tournament of Champion and closing banquet date set
The 2009 Tournament of Champions will be held  at Sunriver on Sunday, August 16th. Mark your calendar now and plan to attend the closing banquet that evening. The tournament will be by invitation based on scoring average and points earned during the regular season. 
 
JoBeth Hamon wins COJGA College Scholarship - Will it be you in 2009
JoBeth Hamon of Prineville was announced as the winner of the 2008 COJGA college scholarship Sunday evening at the annual banquet. Although not present, because she is already at TCU, her impressive resume was read at the event. Congratulations JoBeth. Any Current or former COJGA member who is a high school graduate or will graduate this year may apply for the 2009 scholarship. If you are interested in applying please let us know.
Application should be been returned by August 1, 2009
